October 13 & 14
Fall is here after our wonderful two week summer so get in the mood with some great first harvest apples and some boudin noir to go with. Or how about duck crepinettes, boudin blanc, kefta, polish sausage, or italian sausage. Also lamb top sirloin roast, pork loin roast, trotter terrine, smoked duck breast, herb brined pork chops, duck confit, ciccioli, duck rillettes, duck liver pate, pickled lamb tongue, smoked beef tongue, bacon, liverwurst, and a couple other items. Come out this Saturday and Sunday, I’ll see you there.
September 29 & 30
Fall is in the air, baseball season is coming to a close with both our teams heading to the playoffs, why not head out to the farmers’ market early, grab some great food and catch a great game. Fire up the grill for some herb brine pork chops, toulouse, spicy duck sausages, duck crepinettes, or kefta. Don’t feel like cooking? I made another batch of mole chili or how about beef and pork meatballs in a sweet and spicy tomato sauce made from some tomatoes I grabbed from Annabelle last weekend and her fresh herbs too. I also have duck confit and some oven ready pork loin roasts and lamb top sirloin. Almost like a blue moon this weekend will be a bacon trifecta; Pancetta, good ol’ bacon, and lamb bacon. I also have maple ham and breakfast sausages all great for breakfast even those herb brine pork chops too. Finally I have some guinea hen pate, duck liver pate, ciccioli, trotter terrine, head cheese, pork pate with figs, duck pate with cherry and pistachio and a few other things. I almost forgot about the beautiful california chestnuts I got this week, I’m gonna roast them tonight and make a stuffing with foccacia and sausage and put that into some quail, hell yes. See you at the market.
September 15 & 16
We have one week left ladies and gentlemen, the last week of summer, the last of the summer farmers’ markets and it is shaping up to be a great weekend. So come grab something for the grill, tune in to the Oakland A’s and enjoy your last weekend of summer with things like: Green chile sausages, toulouse, lamb crepinettes, kefta, spicy duck sausage, boudin noir, italian sausage, herb brined pork chops, stuffed quail, lamb top sirloin roasts. Also smoked beef tongue, head cheese, liverwurst, spicy trotter terrine, ciccioli, duck liver pate, pork bacon, and lamb bacon. Finally as I said earlier this week, Cassoulet is back, this week there are green and black flageolet beans both from Annabelle @ La Tercera, I also will be making corned beef hash this week. It’s going to be a great weekend come see what’s going on, see you there.
That’s right it is already September, Labor Day weekendis here and there is nothing you can do about it. So relax this weekend, fire up the grill and get ready for indian summer with things like green chile pork sausages, bratwurst, kefta, lamb crepinettes, hot dogs, chicken italian or a spicy duck sausage. Also this week bbq rubbed tri-tip, lamb top sirloin roast, quail with a sausage and fig stuffing, a few pork loin roasts, and a couple other grillable items. Or how about my spicy trotter terrine, liverwurst, head cheese, duck liver pate, smoked beef tongue, lamb bacon, pork bacon, duck pate with cherry and pistachio, pok pate with figs, pork rillettes, ciccioli. I also made another batch of lamb sugo(necks, shoulder, and shanks braised in red wine and lamb stock) good for those cool nights. So come out this weekend, most of you have an extra day so why not? August 25 & 26
Welcome back to all those who have been away, now get down to the farmers’ market and see what you have been missing when you were gone, the selection of the bounty is amazing come see for yourself and keep these things in mind when planning your meals. Duck crepinettes, green chile pork sausages, merguez, toulouse, polish sausages, mexican chorizo links, Quail with a kalamata olive, bread, and sausage stuffing, lamb leg roasts, 4 bone rack of lamb, pork loin roasts, bacon, duck confit, cotta, ciccioli, corned beef hash, smoked duck breast, and a few other little treats. Also smoked beef tongue, pickled lamb tongue, duck liver pate, liverwurst. Duck fat and leaf lard, lamb stock and duck stock and as mentioned earlier in the week Cassoulet with Flageolet beans from La Tercera. See you this weekend.
I pick up some wonderful Flageolet beansfrom Annabelle this Saturday so Cassoulet this week, I spent 6 hours shucking those bad boys and was it worth it? Come see for yourself, supplies will be limited.
August 4 & 5
For this weekend herb-brined pork chops, lamb chops, stuffed quail, polish sausage, bratwurst, boudin blanc, merguez, italian, spicy duck sausage, duck confit, pork rillettes, duck liver pate, liverwurst, head cheese, trotter terrine, beef jerky, pork pate with fig, duck pate with cherry and pistachio, bacon, lamb bacon, maple ham, smoked beef tongue, pickled lamb tongue, and a couple skin on pork loin roasts. Fire up the grill, celebrate the USA, go to the farmers’ market, Let’s go Oakland A’s.
July 28 & 29
For this weekend why not head out to the farmers’ market, grab some fresh bread, gypsy peppers, torpedo onions, and a couple fresh sausages, grill them all up and listen to a baseball game, teams on both sides of the bay are doing great and are exciting to listen to on the radio, yes the radio. It’s that thing you used all the time when you were younger.
I’ll have Bratwurst, Green Chile pork sausage, Merguez, Duck Crepinettes, Boudin Blanc, Kefta, and Breakfast links. Also Lamb Sugo, Meatballs in Sauce, Lamb Racks & Chops, Pork Loin Roasts with the skin! Lamb Top Sirloin Roasts, and Duck Confit.
